Thinking in (Eco)systems

Workshop for teams, organizations, and networks who want to explore the potentials and implications of adopting an ecosystem approach and define pathways to engage with ecosystems more intentionally

Berlin • Apr 24 • 14:30–18:30
Why ecosystems?
Navigating an increasingly complex world requires a seismic shift in the way we understand how change happens and make sense of the environment in which we operate. Taking an ecosystem perspective and approaching change as an ongoing process of catalyzation helps us to step into the unpredictable dynamics of interconnected systems with more strategic clarity about our role, posture, and key interventions.
The workshop is based on the Ecosystem Cards methodology and offers hands-on experience in applying an ecosystemic perspective to your work.
Who is this workshop for?
Thinking in (Eco)systems is a workshop for teams working within and across civil society organizations, foundations, social enterprises, and impact-driven networks that want to build and nurture ecosystems for positive societal change.

We invite participants to join the workshop as teams of 2 to 4 members. We believe working in teams allows for deeper engagement and makes it easier to apply insights directly to your work.
The workshop can be particularly valuable for those who:
  • are looking for a structured yet flexible approach to kickstart conversations about integrating an ecosystem approach into your work
  • want to create or deepen a shared understanding of the current state of the ecosystem you engage with
  • seek to unlock conversations about desirable futures for the ecosystems you care about
  • aim to develop strategic experiments to test your assumptions about how change might happen within your ecosystem
  • want to reflect on and explore how your organization’s role can evolve within the ecosystem you are part of
