ecosystems learning strategy
Ecosystem Academy
A four-day, practice-based learning program for philanthropic organizations and their field partners to deepen their strategic capacity for working within complex, multi-stakeholder ecosystems
Designed and delivered in partnership with iac Berlin and Sense-Lab Need:
Growing interest among thinkers and practitioners across different fields to engage with ecosystems more intentionally
What we did:
- Developed the full learning journey: an onboarding call, the in-person Academy, and a follow-up call
- Designed a four-day, in-person program (June 8–11, 2026, at ZK/U Berlin) combining conceptual frameworks with structured work on participants’ own live ecosystem cases
- Curated a cross-role cohort model bringing foundations and their field-based partners into the same learning space
- Built program content around core capabilities: pattern and system-dynamics awareness, power-aware engagement, role and strategic positioning, collective sensemaking, and safe-to-fail experimentation
- Facilitated peer exchange and reflective practice across an intentionally small, curated cohort of 8–12 teams
- Integrated the Ecosystem Cards methodology as a core framework within the program
